We thought this went without saying, but please: we don’t need any submissions of drawings of Protomen members engaging in freaky sex acts with other Protomen members. All three of us are going to go look at kitten pictures for a while. Later we may hold each other and cry softly.

We’d like to give a shoutout to truly hardcore Protomen fan ShutUpAndJamza. He’s such a total badass that not only did he attend the November show in NYC while undergoing chemotherapy, he rocked out in the middle of the goddamn pit.

Guess what? It’s the five year anniversary of this post, which means it’s now five years I’ve been friends with this cyborg motherfucker right here. Because it turns out shortly after that Reddit thread we went to PAX together and gamed some games and attended some concerts and spooned with some robots.
There’s a pretty great update thread on Reddit that you should definitely consume. Here’s to not dying!
This seems like a good week (or month, or year) to be reminded that the internet isn’t always unceasingly awful. Right now my Twitter feed is basically a dumpster fire, but there’s also this guy who I met on goddamn Reddit of all places five years ago and now we’re friends and better still he’s also not dead.
I am seeing my fav robots next week for the first time in nearly a year, which seems impossible but is nonetheless a true thing. Here they are last April playing an Act III jam in Philly; I posted some photos from that show as well.
Also, I have a ton of other live Protomen videos if you are interested in that sort of thing.
It may surprise you to learn that I like the Protomen a lot.
Not pictured: highly satisfactory pizza eaten both before sound check and again thirteen hours later after load out, the blisters I inflicted upon myself by wearing new boots on a concert day, and Commander’s strong feelings about A League of Their Own.
Last night was pretty much a perfect New York evening, the kind that makes me happier than I can say with my life as it is right now. And I don’t think there’s a better way to spend the evening of the 4th than at a picnic on the roof of the McKittrick, watching fireworks with friends & fellow drunks.
eleven years ago tonight! I believe this was the only 4th of july event the mckittrick has ever had, and it was also the first event held at gallow green.
