I’m a fan of NY Adorned. They definitely aren’t the cheapest option for body mods in NYC, but I think they’re worth it. In addition to my tattoos (the new one plus my first one, by Brad Stevens), they’ve helped me out with a troubled labret piercing and that was a good experience as well.
The Protomen tattoo you’re referring to was done by Bart Bingham, and I think he’s great. He was referred to me for his skill in detail work, and I appreciated the care and attention to detail he showed throughout the process.

Periodically I start getting notes on this post again and I always go look at the photo when I do, because the thing about having my favorite tattoo in the center of my back is that I can’t fucking see it at all ever. But I’m still glad it’s there.
We thought this went without saying, but please: we don’t need any submissions of drawings of Protomen members engaging in freaky sex acts with other Protomen members. All three of us are going to go look at kitten pictures for a while. Later we may hold each other and cry softly.
Apparently this needs posting again. And we need kitten pictures again.
In our infinite wisdom, my beautiful friends and I descended upon NY Adorned last night to have Evan stick us with needles. The jewelry I picked for my new tragus piercing (far left in the row of ears) is alexandrite, and so far looks completely different in every light I’ve seen it in. I like it so much!

Last night was pretty much a perfect New York evening, the kind that makes me happier than I can say with my life as it is right now. And I don’t think there’s a better way to spend the evening of the 4th than at a picnic on the roof of the McKittrick, watching fireworks with friends & fellow drunks.
eleven years ago tonight! I believe this was the only 4th of july event the mckittrick has ever had, and it was also the first event held at gallow green.
