Lunar New Year has been over for a while, but I’m only just now posting my photos from the Shanghai Mermaid Dragon Ball because I’m an asshole. There are more photos on my Flickr and also better photos on the Shanghai Mermaid Facebook page.
You can’t really tell, but the tiny hat I made for this party has a tiny gold sheep on it. Both because metallic farm animals are the kind of thing I like to wear on my head, and also for thematic reasons.
These Best Made photos from Scotland make me want to go back so badly. I have to stop stealing from my vacation budget to pay for my theatre budget (but it’s haaaard).

Please accept a few photos from the Blessing of the Animals at the Cathedral of St John the Divine. Because it turns out I will totally go to church if a camel and a miniature horse and a regular horse and a fennec fox and a rat and some bunnies and a tortoise and a peacock and various hawks and a parrot and a cockatoo and several cats and a swan and two goats and a couple alpacas and some sheep and a pig and just a whole bunch of dogs are also at church that day.
Last night was pretty much a perfect New York evening, the kind that makes me happier than I can say with my life as it is right now. And I don’t think there’s a better way to spend the evening of the 4th than at a picnic on the roof of the McKittrick, watching fireworks with friends & fellow drunks.
