As promised, here’s part one of the Protomen Q&A panel from PAX East last weekend, filmed by the fabulous kozue255 (whose concert videos you have no doubt already enjoyed). Parts two and three are also up, and we definitely see some familiar faces in each.

Without question, the best moment of PAX East for me. I get goosebumps just watching the video. For kicks, compare it to a similar one I shot at Santos Party house last spring. (You can also check out the rest of my PAX videos or the rest of my Protomen videos.)

We’d like to give a shoutout to truly hardcore Protomen fan ShutUpAndJamza. He’s such a total badass that not only did he attend the November show in NYC while undergoing chemotherapy, he rocked out in the middle of the goddamn pit.

Guess what? It’s the five year anniversary of this post, which means it’s now five years I’ve been friends with this cyborg motherfucker right here. Because it turns out shortly after that Reddit thread we went to PAX together and gamed some games and attended some concerts and spooned with some robots.
There’s a pretty great update thread on Reddit that you should definitely consume. Here’s to not dying!
This seems like a good week (or month, or year) to be reminded that the internet isn’t always unceasingly awful. Right now my Twitter feed is basically a dumpster fire, but there’s also this guy who I met on goddamn Reddit of all places five years ago and now we’re friends and better still he’s also not dead.

Last night was pretty much a perfect New York evening, the kind that makes me happier than I can say with my life as it is right now. And I don’t think there’s a better way to spend the evening of the 4th than at a picnic on the roof of the McKittrick, watching fireworks with friends & fellow drunks.
eleven years ago tonight! I believe this was the only 4th of july event the mckittrick has ever had, and it was also the first event held at gallow green.
