My friends at Storybook Burlesque recently put on a show based on Through the Looking Glass, and I was there to get drunk and take some blurry photos. In addition I’ve got video of BB Heart’s genius opening act which you should absolutely watch.
Kitty Nights has a very special place in my heart and I have been missing it a lot this year, so Fem’s one-night-only reunion show on Friday made me feel all the feelings. Plus, I mean, how often does one get to see Bea Arthur strip on the Coney Island stage? Not nearly often enough, in my opinion.

Yet more party highlights: I got lapdances from burlesque starlets Magdalena Fox and Cliff Hanger as well as my own partner in crime Jonathan (sadly not pictured). And at some point I ended up with lipstick on my boobs.
Last night was pretty much a perfect New York evening, the kind that makes me happier than I can say with my life as it is right now. And I don’t think there’s a better way to spend the evening of the 4th than at a picnic on the roof of the McKittrick, watching fireworks with friends & fellow drunks.
eleven years ago tonight! I believe this was the only 4th of july event the mckittrick has ever had, and it was also the first event held at gallow green.
