Zombies all around
A few weeks ago I picked up The Zombie Survival Guide for Chris, as it came highly recommended by my brother, who is at least as fond of the living dead as we are. And sure enough, we liked the book so much that I have since acquired World War Z and devoured it whole. It’s definitely one of my favorite novels of the past couple of years, and I have no idea why it took me so long to find out about it. You should buy this book, and you should read it. And Max Brooks should write something else to fill my grim heart-cavity with joy.

Oh, it’s a marvelous book. I thought I’d mentioned how good “World War Z” to the channel some time back, but then again, the channel is so dead these days that I wouldn’t be surprised if people totally missed it.
I’m sure you’ve already seen them, but these were shared with me by a friend at work. I was thoroughly entertained.

That’s funny, you’d think with little to no chatting on the #caoine irc channel you’d be more likely to catch things.
STILL NEEDING MORE BRAINS HERE
Great stuff! I picked up the advance reader copy from work when it arrived, and immediately purchased a copy once it was released.
It’s a good book, although I’m surprised that he’s as fond of the .22 as he is. In my experience the round is insufficient for taking down zombies reliably outside of 10 yards.
Inside of 10 yards…well…few people have the fortitude to maintain aim and hit a basketball sized target that’s moaning and gnawing for their flesh.
I purchased this with a few Tom Robbins and Vonnegut books. This one was read first and nearly my favorite of the dozen or so books I got. Max Brooks sure does take after the old man. Glad you enjoyed it.
