Mike Rowe as a QVC host is simply not to be missed. You are to watch all of those clips, they will be on the test.
If you also happen to have an iPhone, take note of the fact that if you pre-order the print version of iPhone: The Missing Manual, you can get the PDF version for just five bucks more. Since the PDF version is likely to be out before the print book, this is a very good deal. And while we’re waiting, you can tide yourself over with Pogue’s iPhone tips and tricks.
Behold, I bring you exciting News of various Things:
- I am still working a lot, possibly more than I should. For those of you playing along at home, I’ve got a full-time web gig and the usual assortment of freelance projects (two at the moment), and I’ve also been getting up at 5am five days a week for the past two years to put in a couple morning hours at a secondary part-time gig. This leaves me little free time, but hey – it’s also why I got to buy an iPhone yesterday without feeling more than the tiniest pang of guilt.
- I play very little Warcraft these days, perhaps as a consequence of the whole working thing. Nevertheless, I totally have the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza on farm status, bitches.
- The iPhone, by the way, is glorious. But I’m aware that some of my friends are beginning to tire of hearing about its glory from all of their friends, so I’ll leave it at that. (But yeah, you should totally get one.)
- I was supposed to see Morrissey on Saturday with Al and a few thousand other black-clad nostalgics, but alas it was postponed. So I’m just listening to a lot of The Smiths instead, and sighing mournfully each time I walk past the tickets stuck on my fridge. It seems appropriate.
