Shit I did this week
- Found a problem with a site I’ve been working on for four months that appears only in certain versions of Firefox, and only under OS X. Researched problem for many hours, tried many non-solutions, killed many luckless vagrants in my rage and frustration.
- Finally got the fucking problem fixed.
- Did most of my Christmas shopping, but not all of it.
- Caught my third cold this month, which strikes me as a little unfair. Chris, meanwhile, gets the sniffles for a day and wakes up miraculously cured the next morning. I hate him.
- Bought the world’s ugliest hat, and wore it anyway because it’s balls-freezingly cold outside. Here is how you know when to wear a hat in New York: If the puddles of human and dog urine have frozen to the sidewalk in little glacier formations, it is hat weather.
- Wrote a note reminding myself to buy a less ugly hat.
