Savoring every minute
It’s been a cool, rainy week in New York, neither of which is really something I can complain about. I’ve been getting out and about as much as possible, because I’m all too keenly aware of the fact that this right now is the sweet spot between sweaty and freezing, and it won’t last very long.
Chris and I hit up Soho Park and Rice to Riches earlier this week for burgers and rice pudding (you can guess which comes from where). Soho Park opened fairly recently, but I’ve found it to be tasty so far. Mainly grill food like burgers, hot dogs, sausages of various types and toppings. Worth visiting if you’re in the neighborhood. Rice to Riches, on the other hand, has been around for a while now, although I wouldn’t have known about it if my brother hadn’t taken me there a couple years back. It remains a fabulous place if you like rice pudding. And if you don’t like rice pudding, well… I’m afraid I don’t know what to tell you.
As for this weekend, I plan to stay in out of the rain and continue my month-long apartment cleaning binge. I suppose some people do this in the spring, but I do it in the fall. Soon, our closets will be organized within an inch of their closety lives, and I can die happy.
