On the one hand, I’m thrilled that we didn’t have to wait until late January for our first snowfall this year, but on the other hand, I’m a little vexed that the cold weather came so quickly. I haven’t actually gotten around to digging out hats and scarves and gloves yet because, after all, it was barely a week ago that I was wearing blazers and sweatshirts instead of giant fuzzy winter coats. I did at least find my winter boots, which worked out well as it was snowing again when I left my building this morning.

I’m doing well with regard to my Christmas shopping - just a couple more things to get, mainly things which can’t be ordered online. There are, as always, a few people on my list who are notoriously difficult to shop for. But I’ll manage. I am, after all, an excellent shopper.

Anyway, I’m off to try one of those fiendish eggnog lattes my coworkers have been drinking. Will it take the place of my favored skim peppermint mocha? Doubtful, but I figure all overpriced espresso-based beverages deserve a chance.
