today

i know, i know. i didn’t update yesterday. bad emma. i was going to - gundam were sprawling on his bed reading, and i said “i should go update my journal before i fall asleep” and i was actually about to get up, and then i fell asleep. the end.

halloween was fabulous, of course. how could it not be? i met gundam at his office and we had cupcakes with vince and sam - of whose fantastic pimp costume i will upload photos later - and lazed around for a while. the new bondage pants i ordered came (i had them shipped to his office) so i changed into them in the bathroom. i adore them. they’ve got zippers all over the legs and pockets everywhere and bondage straps on the back. the fabric is really soft and thick; they’re going to be perfect for club on saturday. they’re incredibly comfy, too.

eventually we got our stuff together from the office and went out for pizza at this little greek place down the street. really delicious pizza - their sicilian slices are huge and thick and soft and way more than i can eat, but tasty. while we were eating, two little kids came in with their mom and tried to trick or treat at the counter, but the owner didn’t have anything for them. we happened to have with us all the little candy bags i made up to hand out at gundam’s house - i bought these adorable little pumpkin patterned paper bags and filled them with candy a few days before halloween, and sealed them with pumpkin stickers. so we gave the kids a couple of them, which made them happy.

we were still a little early to pick up colin from his office, so we went for mochas and holed up in these huge squishy chairs next to the window. it was already getting dark and drizzly and misty. gorgeous. around 5:30 we walked over to colin’s office, which i adore. it’s almost entirely macs, and the walls are painted all different colors, and there’s snowglobes everywhere. these huge gorgeous nightmare before christmas ones that up and play music, alice in wonderland snowglobes, everything you could possibly think of. it’s so cool. i gave cupcakes to colin and delfin (for the sketch he drew for me the other day), and then colin and gundam and i hopped a cab to penn and drank red bulls on the lirr to gundam’s house.

we got home on the late side, so there weren’t that many trick or treaters still out, but we handed out some candy anyway. matt, killah, al, and straylight came over, and gundam ran out to the store to get some candles and a chocolate mousse cake, because it was colin’s birthday as well as halloween. we sang and ate cake and whatnot. woo. i decorated gundam’s bedroom with strings of orange and purple lights, and we lit candles and stuff and all piled in to watch sleepy hollow and the nightmare before christmas. we made a relatively early night of it since gundam had had to stay at work until five am the day before and i am still a little sick, so we were all pretty tired. the whole night was mad fun, though.

gundam took yesterday off a while ago in anticipation of wanting to sleep in, which worked out well, because that’s exactly what we did. eventually we woke up enough to order a pizza and watch beetlejuice and edward scissorhands. we spent most of the rest of the day geeking and reading in bed, since neither of us was feeling terribly energetic. i read the first harry potter book in about three hours; a fast read but not as dumb as i was expecting, not at all. i wanted to read it since i’m going to be going to the opening of the movie in a couple of weeks with gabe and tycho while i’m in seattle, so i wanted to be prepared. i’m halfway through the second one now; i started it on the train this morning.

and now i’m going to go make myself some breakfast and take a shower, i think. yay. pictures from halloween are forthcoming - including al sitting on a twelve pack of beer and matt’s new forelocked head.
