today

batcave last night. had a sort of rasputina look going on - corset, petticoat, boots. emma standard i suppose. rich picked me up around eleven, which was a really nice change from the train. as much as i dig the whole hostile strangers under bright lights thing, i really prefer making the brooklyn-to-manhattan trek with people i know.

lots of people there. dave, dino, cliff, brian, venus, etc etc. spent a lot more time in the goth room than i usually do; patrick’s set was really good. ian played a lot of new wave in the main room too, which was mad fun. i was in sort of a goofy mood and danced till my feet hurt.

a bunch of us went to breakfast afterward; the moonstruck diner, i think. while we were walking there, it started pouring, and of course a petticoat is like ideal for soaking up water. as is my hair. so there was that. it wasn’t actually entirely unfun though, a bunch of dripping goths wandering around midtown. the diner people looked sort of horrified when we showed up and stuck us in a back room. but it was all good.

dave ended up driving a bunch of us home, which was nice. saved me another interminable train ride. i didn’t get home till after seven this morning though, and slept most of the day. hurrah.

oh, and i love the flowers. thanks.
