craving: the rest of the week off and enough fundage to enjoy it

last night: spencer and i stayed at the office playing quake until absurdly late. especially absurd in my case as i live an hour away from the office and have to get to work two [how many?] hours earlier than he does. my goal was to leave manhattan by eight or nine, go home and finish up some work that i needed to get done, and get to bed by eleven or twelve. i ended up not leaving work until eleven, not getting home until twelve thirty, and not getting to bed until four, at which point i couldn’t sleep anyway because my mind was still working so hard on this design problem i’d been struggling with. i lay there staring at the ceiling until i finally got up around five thirty and worked for a while, then took a shower and came to the office.

so far today: and so i’m understandably exhausted. it’s not even nine yet and i’m on my fourth cup of coffee. i think it’s going to be a long, long day. is it saturday yet?

current plans for later today: the upside of all this is that we now have a local quake server, which is why we were here playing all night. it’s really fast [we've got the second best ping time on this list], and we’re trying to keep the head count up. why yes! i am a geek. i’ll probably stay and play with chris and spencer after work again tonight, though this time i absolutely vow to make it home before midnight.

what else: thanks, incidentally, for all the compliments on the new version!

updated 1:35 pm: hey! so spencer has indicated that it wouldn’t be bad at all if some of you quake-playing lovelies decided to show up on our server so we can kill you. we are quake.peepshow.com, and if you see crispy, you should run.
